A historic moment is approaching – Bulgaria’s transition to the new national currency, the euro. To ensure a smooth transition and the security of all processes, technical adjustments will be carried out, which will lead to temporary interruptions of some DZI services. We are sharing important recommendations to help you prepare for a seamless transition and enjoy a stress-free holiday season.

What to Expect?

• Issuing New Policies - Between 1:00 p.m. on December 31 and 10:00 a.m. on January 1, 2026, it will not be possible to issue new insurance policies of any type through the DZI online portal. At our intermediaries’ offices, you can take out a new policy until 7:00 p.m. on December 31, 2025.

• Office and Agency Working Hours -DZI offices and agencies will be closed from December 31, 2025, to January 4, 2026. We look forward to welcoming you on January 5 with regular working hours.

Services will be gradually restored on January 1, 2026, as follows:

• After 10:00 a.m. – Issuing new policies via the DZI online portal, UBB Mobile, and at intermediaries’ offices.
• After 12:00 p.m. – Filing claims through the DZI online portal.
• After 5:00 p.m. – Payment of installments on active policies through the DZI online portal.

Important Information About Your Policies and Payments

• If your installment is due between January 1–5, 2026, your policy will not be canceled. It remains active and protected. Payment can be made immediately after systems are restored on January 1 and will be processed on January 5, 2026.
• During the interruption period, policies will not be automatically terminated for unpaid obligations.

Banking Operations and Currency Conversion
There will be no changes to the IBAN numbers of DZI bank accounts.

For a Stress-Free Holiday with DZI:

• If you need a new insurance policy or to make a payment, please do so by December 30, 2025.
• All your policies and rights remain active, regardless of technical adjustments.
• We will publish updates on our website and social media whenever there are changes.
