Goodness sometimes begins with a book. And sometimes with people willing to invest their time and energy to make something meaningful happen.

As part of the “Unexpected Good” initiative, DZI volunteers took part in the preparation of the Book Fair in Vratsa, playing a key role in both setting up and dismantling the festival infrastructure.

Last Saturday, our colleagues worked side by side to assemble tents, prepare exhibition areas, and organize spaces for publishers and visitors. After the event concluded, the volunteers returned to support the dismantling and removal of the facilities.

Through their efforts, the DZI team contributed to the successful delivery of one of the region’s most important cultural events, which transforms Vratsa into a meeting place for books, authors, publishers, and readers.

The initiative brought together volunteers from DZI and UBB, with DZI colleagues representing the largest group of participants. Their commitment is yet another example of how “Unexpected Good” continues to unite our employees around causes that make a tangible difference in local communities.

Supporting the Book Fair is another example of how volunteering can contribute not only to social and environmental causes, but also to initiatives that promote culture, education, and a love of reading.
