Few places in the region of Sliven are as iconic and beloved as Karandila. Located in the heart of the Sinite Kamani Nature Park, the area attracts visitors throughout the year and is a favourite destination for families, hikers and nature enthusiasts. It was precisely this remarkable place that became the focus of one of the latest “Unexpected Goodness” volunteer initiatives.

Employees, agents and representatives from different DZI teams joined forces around a common cause: contributing to the care and preservation of an area that is enjoyed by thousands of people every year.

The choice of location was far from accidental. Karandila is one of the symbols of the region and a place closely linked to the identity of the city. Caring for such spaces means investing not only in the environment itself but also in preserving places that hold special significance for local communities.

The initiative demonstrated that volunteering is not measured solely by the scale of the work completed. Often, its greatest value lies in the example it sets. When people from different professional backgrounds dedicate part of their time to a community cause, they send a strong message about responsibility, engagement and care for the places where they live and work.
